You can't go wrong with Emerson and Sons Logging. From the first site walk-through to landing clean-up their professionalism is first rate. Zach is an excellent communicator. He listened to our concerns as landowners and was always available for questions. The crew of operators and drivers were friendly, and very aware and respectful given the job was in our home's backyard. The equipment was impeccably maintained, the trails were left neat, and the landing was immaculate when the job was done. What better recommendation that to say we missed them when they were finished.

Emerson Logging successfully completed our recent forest management project. This operation had many parts and all were accomplished to our full satisfaction. They constructed a new landing which will serve us well for future logging operations. Next, they did a complete harvest on ten acres of red pine plantation. The Emerson’s moved very fast with the use of their feller-buncher and tree processing equipment, maximizing the value of each tree for lumber and chipping all tops and branches. This was followed by selective thinning of spruce and fir, clearing a section of hardwood trees in a pasture and some landscape tree removal near our house. To get the best prices, the Emerson’s used a variety of different markets covering, softwood saw logs, hardwood logs, veneer logs, pallet lumber, pulp and chips. The Emerson’s were great to work with in all aspects of the project. You could tell that they really cared about the forest and maintaining good relations with us as the land owners. We are looking forward to having the Emerson’s involved in all our future forest management.

As a landowner, I’ve worked with Zach and his dad more than once. I can’t say enough about the work they do and how they do it. Easy to communicate with, transparent and dedicated to doing great work. Zach was willing to work with my aesthetic whims as well as the goals of my management plan and forester. I’ll hire them again when the time comes.
